Armavia launches flight to Bratislava

On January 17, Armavia national carrier has launched Yerevan-Bratislava-Yerevan flight as its 45th destination.
“The Airport Bratislava will be another one to link Armenian passengers with the other cities in Europe. We are also planning to launch flights to Munich and Venice,” Armavia director general Norayr Belluyan said.
Responding to Slovak journalists’ questions, he said that the company transported 700 thousand passengers in 2009 and about 800 thousand in 2010.
“The company is planning to bring the passenger flow to 1 million,” Belluyan said.
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors Maros Jancula emphasized that “this is a historical moment in bilateral relations.”
He said that the flights will be operated once a week but there are plans to increase their number.
